AI-Driven Autonomy for the Next Generation of Spacecraft

About Us

Setanta Space Systems is an Irish space technology company developing advanced solutions for satellite automation and space electronics. Our expertise spans both software and hardware, enabling us to deliver integrated systems for next-generation missions.

We design AI models for on-board anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, autonomous navigation, space situational awareness and real-time data processing. We also build space-qualified electronics, AI-ready processing platforms, and bespoke systems tailored to mission requirements, from low Earth orbit to deep space.

Services

  • Telemetry Monitoring

Telemetry Monitoring provides real-time monitoring, anomaly detection, and prognostics for spacecraft systems. By enabling predictive maintenance and early fault detection, it enhances mission reliability and reduces dependence on ground intervention.

  • Space Situational Awareness and Autonomous Navigation

Space situational awareness (SSA) is essential for identifying, tracking, and charaterising objects while assessing risks in orbit, forming the foundation for safe and sustainable spacecraft operations. By integrating SSA with Autonomous Navigation, onboard perception and AI are combined to enable precise manoeuvring, collision avoidance, and independent guidance in complex orbital environments.

  • Earth Observation

Earth Observation transforms satellite data into actionable insights. Applications include agriculture, infrastructure, climate monitoring, and ship detection to support sustainable decision-making and economic growth.

Products

  • Danu

Danu is Setanta Space’s modular onboard computer, adaptable from CubeSat OBCs to mass memory and AI hosting. Its flexible design supports advanced autonomy, data processing, and seamless integration across diverse missions.

  • Ora

Ora is a sandbox platform for edge AI deployment and benchmarking. It provides a wide catalogue of computing architectures, from traditional processors to next-generation accelerators, all accessible through a single interface.

  • Galaxia® Space Tile

The Galaxia® Space Tile is developed using the same FPGA as the Galaxia® Development Board, enabling it to be designed into missions or more advanced prototyping and testing solutions.

  • Galaxia® Space Development Board

The Galaxia® Space Development board is intended to support development of demanding space applications, which require low power, high performance and a low single event upset rate.

It provides users with a Certus™-NX LFD2NX-40 which is the commercial equivalent of the Certus-NX-RT device offered by CAES.
